Teen Speak NJ
Teen Speak NJ is an interactive statewide resource that provides parents, caregivers, and professionals with information and tools to engage in essential conversations with teens. The goal is to improve decision-making and encourage healthy behavior choices through the education and support of trusted adults. Teen Speak NJ is for all NJ parents, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals.
Teen Speak NJ implements the evidence-informed curricula, Teen Speak developed by Dr. Jennifer Salerno of Possibilities for Change.
Teen Speak is a FREE interactive workshop that teaches parents and caregivers techniques and strategies for improving communication with youth. Teen Speak builds trusted adult relationships to mitigate risky behaviors among teens and improve decision-making skills to build better futures for teens and their families.
Teen Speak NJ, a part of the Statewide Parent and Professional Engagement Program (SPEP), is funded by the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of Family Health Services, Child and Adolescent Health Program and maintained by the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey. Teen Speak NJ collaborates with professionals, schools, community organizations, parents, caregivers, and youth with lived experience to provide quality programming and resources. Statewide programming is implemented in collaboration with Possibilities for Change and community-based partner organizations.
